Philosophy of the Practice
The goal of my psychology practice is to promote psychological wellness by offering several levels of services for people interested in understanding and promoting their own psychological well being.
The Blog covers relevant topics that help readers discover practical ways to facilitate their own psychological wellness.
I give Public Talks in the community where I elaborate on topics covered in the blog. Topics will focus on practical, active strategies to promote one's own psychological wellness. Check the Public Talks & Classes tab.
If you would like a little more information and guidance, consider completing a Psychological Wellness Check-up (PWC). This is a simple way to monitor your psychological wellness with a little help from me. Perhaps a period of Positive Psychology Coaching would be right for you. The PWC combined with coaching is a good way to maintain optimal living or to get a jump start on a new goal or change in direction.
If you would like even more practical information and guidance try one of my classes (6 to 8 weeks). For those interested in going into more depth these classes will take the ideas covered in the blog and Public Talks to an even further level. In these classes I will provide instruction and guidance in the practical application of strategies that promote psychological wellness, such as Positive Psychology, mindfulness meditation, Tai Chi and Strengths-based Parenting.
Finally, if you need more support to meet your goals than is provided in the other services, I provide traditional Psychotherapeutic Services (group and individual; adults, adolescents, and children).
You can choose whatever level of involvement suits your needs or comfort level. The main goals of my practice are 1) to clearly communicate the message that YOU can do practical things to promote your own psychological wellness and 2) to provide psychological wellness promoting options of service that facilitate a variety of levels of interest.
